Lineage Celebrates Grand Opening of Houston ColdPort Facility

New facility will strengthen Lineage's network in Texas, which now spans more than 189 million cubic feet of capacity across 19 locations

Houston– November 14, 2023 --  Lineage (the “Company”), one of the leading temperature-controlled industrial REIT and integrated solutions providers worldwide, today celebrated the grand opening of its newest facility in Houston, Texas. Houston ColdPort is strategically located near the Jacintoport Terminal at Port Houston, a leader for the Houston Ship Channel and an integral component of Houston’s international trade activity.

Spanning approximately  315,000 square feet, the new facility marks the sixth location in Lineage’s Greater Houston network and is designed to support many customer profiles and business needs, complementing the Company’s additional locations across Texas as well as its global network of more than 400 facilities. Houston ColdPort offers integrated and streamlined transportation and drayage operations within the market to support import, export and domestic demand.

“We are excited to strengthen our presence in Houston at such a pivotal time for the market,” said Brian Beattie, Lineage President of North American West. “The city has recently seen a surge in port demand amid congestion and other issues at the big ports on the West Coast. By adding ColdPort to our Houston network, Lineage’s customers have another option to help manage their costs and increase productivity. Additionally, they’ll have better access to our world-class global network.”

Lineage currently employs more than 1,200 team members across its 19 facilities in Texas, which have a combined capacity of more than 189 million cubic feet and approximately 532,000 pallet positions.

Leaders from Lineage, Boomerang Interests, ARCO Design/Build and the Houston Port Authority gathered this morning to celebrate the grand opening of the facility during a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“This ribbon cutting is an exciting day for a whole team of contributors as we mark the completion of a vision that started in 2019 as a speculative cold storage facility and is now the home of Lineage in 2023,” said Eric M. The Houston ColdPort facility began operating in October 2023.

Lineage Celebrates Grand Opening Next Generation Automated Cold Storage Facility

New facility will serve as a strategic distribution hub for JBS and expands Lineage’s network of automated facilities worldwide

Windsor, CO – October 11, 2023 –  Lineage, one of the world’s leading temperature-controlled industrial REITs and integrated solutions providers, today celebrated the grand opening of its newest facility in Windsor, Colorado. Built for long-time customer JBS USA, a leading global food company, Lineage developed the facility to support the distribution of products to JBS customers.

The next-generation, fully automated facility in Windsor expands Lineage’s network of strategically located automated facilities worldwide. Lineage’s automated warehousing solutions combine cutting-edge technology, applied sciences and innovative thinking to create greater efficiency, improve the quality of food products while in storage, and reduce energy consumption and food waste – efforts that will also contribute to cost efficiencies for JBS over time.

“For the past year, we’ve worked closely with JBS and the great Town of Windsor to construct a state-of-the-art facility that helps strengthen JBS’s supply chain to get food on consumers’ tables, and we could not be prouder of the outcome,” said Greg Lehmkuhl, President and Chief Executive Officer at Lineage.

The new warehouse is designed to help lower energy consumption and reduce food waste by storing product in a denser, more energy efficient cube and automating decision-making to optimize loading, unloading and storage tasks. The automated cold-storage is outfitted with proprietary warehouse management systems, computer vision systems, algorithms, visibility platforms and machine learning capabilities that will support JBS as the company further optimizes its supply chain.

Lineage and JBS broke ground on the facility in April 2022 in partnership with the Town of Windsor and Upstate Colorado Economic Development. The completed facility spans approximately 200,000 square feet and includes more than 20,000 pallet positions. The project resulted in a more than $100 million investment that yielded the creation of approximately 70 new jobs.

Lineage Expands Facility Footprint in Dallas, Texas

Company’s new location in Lancaster will help meet increasing customer demand for capacity and enhance Lineage's expansive network in Texas

Dallas – October 5, 2023 --  Lineage, one of the world’s leading temperature-controlled industrial REITs and integrated solutions providers worldwide, today announced the opening of its newest facility in Lancaster, Texas. The addition of the Lancaster location in Dallas County highlights Lineage's footprint in Texas, which now totals nearly 20 facilities spanning approximately 192 million cubic feet of capacity.

The 343,250-square-foot site at 4150 N. Dallas Avenue will address a range of customer needs and demands with more than 25,000 pallet positions and a user-friendly rack configuration that is designed to handle high SKU counts and intensive case-picking. Once fully operational, the new site will create more than 65 new jobs to support operations.

The addition of the Lancaster facility strengthens Lineage’s expansive network in Texas, which currently includes 18 sites in key cities like Dallas, El Paso, Fort Worth, Houston, McAllen and San Antonio. Lineage’s location in Sunnyvale, which was announced in 2018, is one of the most innovative facilities in the Company’s network and features patented automation and blast-freezing technologies to meet the needs of retail distributors.

Lineage Acquires Warehousing and e-Commerce Assets of Burris Logistics

Novi, Mich. – October 3, 2023 -- Lineage (or the "Company"), one of the world’s leading temperature-controlled industrial REITs and integrated solutions providers, today announced the acquisition of eight facilities from Burris Logistics (“Burris”), a leading temperature-controlled food distribution company. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The addition of these eight cold storage facilities to Lineage’s warehousing network will provide nearly 1.3 million square feet of capacity and approximately 115,000 pallet positions across facilities in Lakeland, Florida; Jacksonville, Florida; McDonough, Georgia; Edmond, Oklahoma; New Castle, Delaware; Waukesha, Wisconsin; and Federalsburg, Maryland.

The transaction represents Lineage’s third proprietary deal with Burris. Lineage acquired both its Lyndhurst, Virginia and Haines City, Florida locations from Burris in 2020 and 2021, respectively.

“This deal represents the trust we have built and the track record we have delivered across our longstanding relationship with Burris, which is demonstrative of Lineage being the industry’s acquiror of choice,” said Greg Lehmkuhl, President and CEO of Lineage. “As with our previous acquisitions from Burris, these complementary locations and their supremely dedicated team members will further fuel Lineage’s fierce customer-driven approach and serve our vision to become the world’s most dynamic temperature-controlled logistics company.”

A nearly-century old, family-owned business, Burris has developed deep relationships with some of the nation’s leading retailers and foodservice companies. The acquired facilities are strategically located in the Eastern and Midwestern United States, near major highways and transportation hubs, and will serve densely populated markets to help Lineage’s direct-to-consumer fulfillment operation reach all 50 states.

Lineage’s team has over 14 years of e-commerce and direct-to-consumer fulfillment experience, managing the end-to-end experience for more than 100 customers across eight existing locations. The acquisition of these facilities will bolster Lineage’s comprehensive direct-to-consumer solution that harnesses Lineage’s leading cold storage network.

Burris’s remaining portfolio will primarily consist of Honor Foods, its foodservice redistribution company, and Trinity Logistics, its freight solutions provider.

Lineage announces joint venture with Vietnam's SK Logistics, expanding its network in Southeast Asia

Lineage Logistics Announces Appointment of New Chief Financial Officer

Crisci brings more than 25 years of financial leadership experience in the industrial and technology sectors. He will report directly to Lineage’s President & Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”), Greg Lehmkuhl.

Crisci joins Lineage from Roper Technologies (NYSE: ROP), a constituent of the S&P 500 and Fortune 500 that operates 27 independent businesses across multiple end markets, where he most recently served as the company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In that role, he oversaw the multi-billion-dollar business’s global financial operation and played a central role in its transformation from a cyclical industrial company to one focused primarily on software, helping to increase recurring revenue, operating margins and organic growth. As a deeply experienced M&A professional, he successfully deployed over $20 billion in capital and led key acquisitions for Roper as it underwent its portfolio transformation. Prior to serving as CFO, he spent four years as Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations, enhancing the company’s relationships with banks, institutional investors, governance advisors and other key financial stakeholders. During Rob’s tenure, Roper’s market capitalization grew from $12 billion to over $45 billion.

Prior to Roper, Rob worked in investment banking at VRA Partners and Morgan Keegan, as a buy-side advisor at Devon Value Advisers and as a Capital Markets Consultant at Deloitte & Touche.

Crisci’s experience leading highly-engaged teams and long history of delivering strong financial performance has been recognized by Institutional Investor, who named him to its All-American Executive team in 2019 for the Multi-Industry CFO category.

Lineage Logistics Celebrates the Grand Opening of Savannah Fresh-Port Wentworth Facility

April 20, 2023- Port Wentworth, GA.  –  Lineage Logistics (“Lineage” or the “Company”), one of the leading temperature-controlled industrial REITs and integrated solutions providers worldwide, today celebrated the grand opening of its newest facility in Port Wentworth, Georgia. Savannah Fresh-Port Wentworth is strategically located near the Port of Savannah, the largest single-terminal container facility of its kind in North America and the third busiest container gateway in the U.S.

The 220,000-square-foot facility offers cross-docking services for products to enter and exit the facility on the same day if needed, reducing storage time, creating cost efficiencies and ensuring consumers receive fresh produce faster. The facility has 23 inbound and outbound lanes that can process more than 40 trucks daily, moving up to 1.4 million pounds of produce per day.

“Today, the demand for port-centric temperature-controlled storage has never been greater and our Fresh solution offerings at Lineage have never been more robust. Savannah Fresh-Port Wentworth will allow us to expand our Fresh offering to new and existing customers and also provides the needed capacity to improve market conditions,” said Jim Henderson, Vice President of Global Sales and Business Development at Lineage. “The opening of this new facility is a critical step for Lineage as we continuously work to reimagine the world’s food supply chain. For the past two years, Lineage has worked closely with the Savannah Economic Development Authority, Georgia Ports Authority, and the city of Port Wentworth to construct the Savannah Fresh-Port Wentworth facility in addition to its port-adjacent facility on Tremont Road in Savannah. The Savannah Fresh-Port Wentworth project resulted in a $78 million investment alone that created 65 new jobs, bringing Lineage’s total economic investment in Chatham County to over $100 million. To date, Lineage’s footprint in Georgia spans over 3 million sq. ft.

Savannah Fresh-Port Wentworth was designed to address the overwhelming influx in imports of fresh produce to ports in the Mid-Atlantic that lack the space to keep up with the demand. With proximity to the Port of Savannah, the new facility will enable Lineage to deliver larger quantities of fresh produce more efficiently to serve customers across the Southeast.

NOVI, MI & MADRID, Spain – Lineage Logistics, LLC ("Lineage" or the "Company"), one of the leading temperature-controlled industrial REIT and logistics solutions providers worldwide, has opened a new Southern Europe headquarters in Madrid, Spain on 17 March, at an event attended by the Company's Southern Europe Management team, as well as European and US executive leadership and board members from Lineage's parent company, Bay Grove.

The new headquarters in Madrid highlight Lineage's continued investment in the region and lay the foundation for continued growth. Additionally, the increased focus in Southern Europe creates stronger connections to Lineage Logistics' network of hubs in Northern Europe and beyond.

The new offices build on Lineage's expanding footprint in the region, including the acquisition in September 2022 of Grupo Fuentes, one of Spain's principal transport and cold storage logistics providers. Lineage's recent investments in freight forwarding and transport fleets, along with recently launched services focused on fresh produce, will help to connect Europe's food supply chain more efficiently and will give customers a one-stop-shop solution when moving their products from Southern to Northern Europe and beyond. Lineage's cutting-edge use of data, advanced cold chain technologies and network of strategic locations in Europe's busiest ports help customers to optimize the movement of food products across the temperature-controlled supply chain.

Addressing Growing Demand, Lineage Logistics Opens Expanded Cold Storage Facility in Aarhus, Denmark's Largest Container Port

The expanded facility is strategically located at the center of Denmark's largest commercial port, the Port of Aarhus, providing a key link between the Nordic market and the rest of the world.

The expansion more than doubles the capacity of the previous facility with room for future expansion to meet growing customer demand.

NOVI, MI & AARHUS, Denmark - Lineage Logistics, LLC (“Lineage” or the “Company”), one of the world’s leading temperature-controlled industrial REIT and logistics solutions providers, today officially opened its expanded cold storage facility in the Port of Aarhus, Denmark, strengthening its network of key port locations and providing customers with an efficient link between the seafood markets in the North Atlantic and the rest of the world.

Lineage has significantly increased its capacity at its facilities in the Port of Aarhus. The expansion adds 18,000 pallet spaces for a total of 27,500 pallet spaces, with room for further expansion to meet customer need. This increased capacity will provide customers, including producers of fish and shellfish, with streamlined storage for their products at a key location connecting the import and export of seafood, linking Greenland and Denmark to the global market. The Aarhus facility is equipped to handle many types of food products, but specializes in receiving, handling and exporting seafood, pork and dairy products.

The expanded facility represents the only cold storage warehouse located within the port and gives Lineage customers access to a key entry point to the Danish market, with significant parts of Danish consumer goods entering via the Port and Danish exports shipped via the Port to the rest world. The Port of Aarhus is the only port in Denmark capable of docking the largest container ships. The facility upgrade and port infrastructure connect multiple supply chains and allow Lineage’s customers’ products to remain in the port before moving on to their final destination – ensuring the safety and security of goods and reducing transport costs.
