Crisci brings more than 25 years of financial leadership experience in the industrial and technology sectors. He will report directly to Lineage’s President & Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”), Greg Lehmkuhl.

Crisci joins Lineage from Roper Technologies (NYSE: ROP), a constituent of the S&P 500 and Fortune 500 that operates 27 independent businesses across multiple end markets, where he most recently served as the company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. During Rob’s tenure, Roper’s market capitalization grew from $12 billion to over $45 billion.

Prior to Roper, Rob worked in investment banking at VRA Partners and Morgan Keegan, as a buy-side advisor at Devon Value Advisers and as a Capital Markets Consultant at Deloitte & Touche.

Crisci’s experience leading highly-engaged teams and long history of delivering strong financial performance has been recognized by Institutional Investor, who named him to its All-American Executive team in 2019 for the Multi-Industry CFO category.

“On behalf of Lineage’s management team and Board of Directors, we could not be more excited to have Rob join us as our CFO," said Lehmkuhl. "Rob is a proven public company financial leader who brings extensive operational and strategic expertise and a deep knowledge of the industrials and technology sectors. He will be an invaluable addition to the Lineage leadership team as we continue into our next phase of growth and expansion."

“I am thoroughly impressed with the incredible global growth Lineage has achieved over the past 10 years and look forward to leading its world-class finance team at such a pivotal point in the company’s history,” said Crisci. “I am excited for the opportunity to partner with Greg, the executive team, and the Board to further advance Lineage’s position as the world's leading and most innovative temperature-controlled logistics company.”

Lineage Logistics Celebrates the Grand Opening of Savannah Fresh-Port Wentworth Facility

April 20, 2023- Port Wentworth, GA.  –  Lineage Logistics (“Lineage” or the “Company”), one of the leading temperature-controlled industrial REITs and integrated solutions providers worldwide, today celebrated the grand opening of its newest facility in Port Wentworth, Georgia. Savannah Fresh-Port Wentworth is strategically located near the Port of Savannah, the largest single-terminal container facility of its kind in North America and the third busiest container gateway in the U.S.

The 220,000-square-foot facility offers cross-docking services for products to enter and exit the facility on the same day if needed, reducing storage time, creating cost efficiencies and ensuring consumers receive fresh produce faster. The facility has 23 inbound and outbound lanes that can process more than 40 trucks daily, moving up to 1.4 million pounds of produce per day.

“Today, the demand for port-centric temperature-controlled storage has never been greater and our Fresh solution offerings at Lineage have never been more robust. Savannah Fresh-Port Wentworth will allow us to expand our Fresh offering to new and existing customers and also provides the needed capacity to improve market conditions,” said Jim Henderson, Vice President of Global Sales and Business Development at Lineage. “The opening of this new facility is a critical step for Lineage as we continuously work to reimagine the world’s food supply chain. We are honored to further our long-standing partnership with Georgia Ports Authority and look forward to building our presence in the state of Georgia, an essential hub for trade and innovation."

For the past two years, Lineage has worked closely with the Savannah Economic Development Authority, Georgia Ports Authority, and the city of Port Wentworth to construct the Savannah Fresh-Port Wentworth facility in addition to its port-adjacent facility on Tremont Road in Savannah. The Savannah Fresh-Port Wentworth project resulted in a $78 million investment alone that created 65 new jobs, bringing Lineage’s total economic investment in Chatham County to over $100 million. To date, Lineage’s footprint in Georgia spans over 3 million sq. ft.

Savannah Fresh-Port Wentworth was designed to address the overwhelming influx in imports of fresh produce to ports in the Mid-Atlantic that lack the space to keep up with the demand. With proximity to the Port of Savannah, the new facility will enable Lineage to deliver larger quantities of fresh produce more efficiently to serve customers across the Southeast.

“With increasing demand for fresh produce capacity in Savannah, this new, state of the art facility is a welcome addition,” said Griff Lynch, Executive Director of the Georgia Ports Authority. “Lineage Logistics’ suite of services, such as cold-retreatment and onsite CBP inspections, will save time, help prevent loss and, ultimately, bring fresh food to market faster.”

Leaders from Lineage, business partners from the state of Georgia, community leaders from the city of Port Wentworth and leadership from Georgia Ports Authority attended the facility’s grand opening.

Addressing Growing Demand, Lineage Logistics Opens Expanded Cold Storage Facility in Aarhus, Denmark's Largest Container Port

The expanded facility is strategically located at the center of Denmark's largest commercial port, the Port of Aarhus, providing a key link between the Nordic market and the rest of the world.

The expansion more than doubles the capacity of the previous facility with room for future expansion to meet growing customer demand.

MARCH 15, 2023

NOVI, MI & AARHUS, Denmark - Lineage Logistics, LLC (“Lineage” or the “Company”), one of the world’s leading temperature-controlled industrial REIT and logistics solutions providers, today officially opened its expanded cold storage facility in the Port of Aarhus, Denmark, strengthening its network of key port locations and providing customers with an efficient link between the seafood markets in the North Atlantic and the rest of the world.

Lineage has significantly increased its capacity at its facilities in the Port of Aarhus. The expansion adds 18,000 pallet spaces for a total of 27,500 pallet spaces, with room for further expansion to meet customer need. This increased capacity will provide customers, including producers of fish and shellfish, with streamlined storage for their products at a key location connecting the import and export of seafood, linking Greenland and Denmark to the global market. The Aarhus facility is equipped to handle many types of food products, but specializes in receiving, handling and exporting seafood, pork and dairy products.

“Aarhus represents another strategic port location that can serve as a gateway for Lineage’s customers to markets around the world. Lineage continues to invest where we believe we can provide our customers with the best end-to-end logistics solution. We are proud to open this site in the Port of Aarhus, a critical connection to the Nordics and a strong partner in our commitment to a more effective supply chain,” said Carsten Wolf, Regional Vice President, Nordics, at Lineage Logistics.

The expanded facility represents the only cold storage warehouse located within the port and gives Lineage customers access to a key entry point to the Danish market, with significant parts of Danish consumer goods entering via the Port and Danish exports shipped via the Port to the rest world. The Port of Aarhus is the only port in Denmark capable of docking the largest container ships. The facility upgrade and port infrastructure connect multiple supply chains and allow Lineage’s customers’ products to remain in the port before moving on to their final destination – ensuring the safety and security of goods and reducing transport costs.

“I am extremely pleased that Lineage has chosen to significantly increase its investment in their capacity at the Port of Aarhus. This underlines the position of the Port of Aarhus as an important distribution hub for handling frozen and refrigerated goods – not only to Denmark, but to the Nordic region, Europe, and the rest of the world. I am confident that in the future, Aarhus will be able to increase the share of calls from the Arctic states and the Nordic region for distribution to the rest of the world. By focusing more on shipping, we are best supporting the green transition,” said Jacob Bundsgaard, Mayor of Aarhus and chairman of the board at Port of Aarhus.

The facility is built to high-energy efficiency and modern standards and features Lineage’s best-in-class cold storage solutions to help customers optimize their supply chains for speed and efficiency. The expanded Aarhus site offers customs clearance, port logistics, sorting, processing, and production solutions and connects customers to a strong and growing network to deliver their food products with maximum safety and efficiency.

Aarhus forms part of Lineage’s network of more than 400 cold storage facilities worldwide. The expanded site builds on Lineage’s entry into the Danish market in 2020 with the acquisition of Lundsøe Køl og Frys A/S, Super Frost Sjælland ApS, Coldstar ApS, and Claus Sørensen A/S, with facilities across the country.

Lineage Logistics Announces Lineage Fresh, Expands Fresh Produce Offering in Europe

As part of its presence at Fruit Logistica in Berlin, Lineage announces its new Fresh solution, building on the acquisition of Kloosterboer Group's long-standing fresh operation

FEBRUARY 07, 2023

BERLIN, Germany – 7 February, 2023 – Lineage Logistics, LLC (“Lineage” or the “Company”), one of the leading temperature-controlled industrial REIT and logistics solutions providers worldwide, announced Lineage Fresh, a new strategic service in Europe, launched last November in the US, which provides fresh storage solutions for major importers, grocers, and producers of fresh fruit and produce, as part of its participation in the Fruit Logistica trade show in Berlin.

Lineage Fresh will allow products with a short shelf-life to face fewer obstacles, less risk, and less spoilage with Lineage’s cold storage technology and leading logistics network. Leveraging the Company’s expertise as a global temperature-controlled storage provider, Lineage Fresh is designed to cater to businesses in which food safety is critical and speed to market is essential. The new value-added services and specialized capabilities of Lineage Fresh include re-pack & bagging services, reconditioning, restacking, restyling, container plugs, multi-temperature zones for produce, cold treatment, fumigation, container drayage, juice processing and blending, and the integration of customs’ bonded facilities.

“Lineage Fresh brings state-of-the-art fresh capacity and product expertise to our expanding European network, and connects the growing fresh produce market with customers across Europe and the world,” said Edwin Wentink, Vice President, Business Development Europe. “Lineage Fresh capitalises on the investments we have made in Kloosterboer Group’s legacy of fresh product expertise and its class leading facilities in Rotterdam and Vlissingen, along with a growing footprint in Southern Europe. We are excited to highlight this new solution as part of our participation in Fruit Logistica in Berlin this year.”

Fresh produce importers, exporters, and the international fresh fruit and vegetable community at large have been experiencing significant service and capacity issues with their fresh products. To address Lineage customers’ needs, Lineage has made significant investment in the space to meet the demands of the fresh market and to create a truly connected ‘fresh’ network.

  • In Europe, over the past two years, Lineage has focused on value-added services needed to handle fresh fruits and vegetables, namely fresh food storage, repacking, bagging, and transportation. The Company started this venture in June 2021 with the acquisition of Kloosterboer Group, which continues to bring a large, long-standing fresh operation to the Lineage network, with fresh facilities in both Rotterdam and Vlissingen.

  • In December 2021, Lineage acquired Sun Valley Cold Storage and its facility in Swedesboro, N.J., expanding its presence in the U.S. Tri-State area, where 80% of U.S. produce enters the country. Sun Valley Cold Storage served the fresh produce market for more than 15 years, with a team of experienced professionals dedicated to handling fresh fruits and vegetables. Lineage is in the process of expanding this facility with 5,000 additional pallets coming online in Q1 2023, leveraging the capacity and expertise of the former Sun Valley and Kloosterboer operations to enhance Lineage’s fresh network globally.

  • Lineage is building a new, state-of-the-art refrigerated storage facility at the port of Savannah, Ga., expected to open in February 2023, completely dedicated to fresh produce. Savannah is the fastest-growing port and largest single container terminal in North America, and the new facility will help cut through port congestion to ensure fewer obstacles in maintaining the freshness of the produce.

Solar Energy Industries Association Ranks Lineage Logistics as a Top Adopter of Solar in the U.S.

New report revealed Lineage ranks fifth for on-site solar adoption and 22nd overall for total solar adoption

Ranking reflects the Company’s commitment to decarbonizing its operations and improving energy efficiency

NOVEMBER 29, 2022

NOVI, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lineage Logistics, LLC (“Lineage” or the “Company”), the world’s largest temperature-controlled industrial REIT and logistics solutions provider, ranked fifth for on-site solar adoption and 22nd overall for total solar adoption in the U.S., according to the Solar Energy Industries Association’s (SEIA) Solar Means Business 2022 report.

The Solar Means Business Report tracks commercial solar installations, detailing how major corporations are using solar energy in the U.S. Capturing over 70% of all U.S. commercial solar capacity through June 2022, this year’s report revealed American companies are installing record-levels of solar power in their operations, accounting for 14% of all installed solar capacity in America. The rankings in the report distinguish companies who physically install solar from those that purchase off site.

“With over 400 strategic locations worldwide, we continue to explore solutions to help mitigate the impact of our operations on the environment and reduce our energy consumption. The adoption of solar energy has been a central part of this strategy,” said Chris Thurston, Director of Energy and Sustainability at Lineage Logistics. “Given our position within the global food ecosystem, we are pleased to be recognized for our commitment to improve our energy efficiency across and support the decarbonization efforts of the global food supply chain.”

Installing solar throughout its network of facilities is only the beginning of Lineage’s plan to decarbonize its operations. To date, the Company’s solar projects offset 40% of a site’s total energy usage, which is equivalent to generating energy for roughly 12,000 homes per year. While the SEIA report only focuses on the U.S., Lineage continues to grow its solar portfolio globally with over 20 projects spanning North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia.

Findings from this year’s report revealed that U.S. businesses have installed nearly 19 gigawatts (GW) of on-site and off-site solar capacity, which is double the 9.4 GW installed through 2019. This growth is attributed to the expansion of off-site corporate solar usage, which now represents 55% of all commercial solar use.

NOVEMBER 23, 2022

NOVI, Mich & ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands  November 23, 2022 – Lineage Logistics, LLC (“Lineage” or the “Company”), one of the world’s leading temperature-controlled industrial REIT and logistics solutions providers, today officially opened its fully-automated Cool Port II cold storage facility in the Port of Rotterdam, Netherlands, adding a key European port location to Lineage’s global network of best-in-class cold storage facilities.

The fully automated deep-freeze high bay warehouse offers 60,000 pallet locations, three automated truck unloading systems and a full range of services to safely store food products and bring them to market. Strategically located in Europe’s largest sea port, the new Cool Port II facility co located next to Cool Port I gives customers the option of tri-modal connections by sea, rail and road, connecting Lineage’s growing network from Europe to the UK and far beyond.

The facility features the industry’s most advanced automation solutions, helping to address labour volatility, provide fast and efficient service to clients and reduce the site’s energy consumption, all while ensuring the highest level of food safety and reduction of food waste. Cool Port II utilises data-driven solutions to optimise its energy use, with precision cooling cycles to minimise energy leakage and a high-rise design that maximises storage density and reduces the site’s energy footprint. Best-in-class refrigeration technology and the latest systems for temperature control combined with the energy-saving design of the facility make Cool Port II a frontrunner in energy efficiency in the cold storage sector. The site is up to 45% more energy efficient than a conventional cold storage facility.

“Our new Cool Port II facility highlights the best-in-class approach that makes Lineage a unique and forward-looking partner for our customers,” said Harld Peters, President of Europe at Lineage. “In addition to its strategic location, Cool Port II utilises the latest in automation technology. Our aim is to be a driving force behind greening the supply chain, investing in our people and our facilities to deploy the very latest in cold storage technology. In this way, we can reduce our energy footprint while providing the solutions our customers need to deliver food safely and efficiently throughout Europe and beyond.”

In addition to the increased energy efficiency of a fully automated facility, the building is constructed to meet the highest BREEAM sustainability standards. Cool Port has over 11,000 solar panels on its roof making Lineage one of the leading companies in the Port of Rotterdam when it comes to generating solar power for in-house use. As a Climate Pledge signatory, Lineage is committed to achieving net-zero carbon emissions across its operations by 2040.

“We are proud to open this state-of-the-art facility, a multi-modal facility that is well connected by road, rail and barges and the only cold store facility in Rotterdam connected with the Short Sea Terminals. We aim to provide Lineage’s customers easy access to a strong and growing network to deliver their product safely and efficiently,” said Mark Ketelaar, Regional Vice President for the Benelux Region at Lineage Logistics. “Cool Port II offers a complete range of services and state-of-the-art facilities to maximise efficiency and safe handling of the products in our care.”

In recent years Lineage has expanded its network across Europe, creating a one-stop-shop solution for customers across the continent. This reduces the complexity of moving food between countries, reduces food waste and makes the distribution of food more efficient and resilient.

Lineage Logistics Extends U.S. EPA SmartWay® Transport Partnership

Partnership underscores Lineage's commitment to strong environmental leadership and its ongoing efforts to create a more sustainable cold chain

NOVEMBER 08, 2022

Novi, Mich. – November 8, 2022 – Lineage Logistics, LLC (“Lineage” or the “Company”), the world’s largest and most innovative temperature-controlled industrial REIT and logistics solutions provider, today announced it has renewed its participation in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) SmartWay Transport Partnership, a program that provides a framework to assess the environmental performance and energy efficiency of goods moving through supply chains so partnering companies can reduce their environmental footprint.

Launched in 2004, the SmartWay program helps companies advance supply chain sustainability by measuring, benchmarking and improving freight transportation efficiency. Moreover, the program also helps companies select more efficient freight carriers, transport modes, equipment and operational strategies to improve supply chain sustainability.

“At Lineage, we recognize the opportunity our industry has in creating and advancing a more sustainable supply chain, and we look forward to working with the EPA and our Carrier Partners to further reduce our emissions and improve our energy efficiency,” said Greg Bryan, EVP of Logistics at Lineage Logistics. “We are excited to lead the industry forward, and this partnership serves as yet another example of our ambition to be a better and more responsible company that aids in feeding the world.”

Lineage joins nearly 4,000 SmartWay partners including shippers, logistics companies, trucks, rail, barge and multimodal carriers. To date, SmartWay partners have contributed to substantial energy savings including 336 million barrels of oil – the equivalent to eliminating annual energy usage in over 21 million homes – and $44.8 billion on fuel costs. The SmartWay program has also helped participating companies avoid emitting 143 million metric tons of CO2, 2.7 million short tons of nitrogen oxides (NOx) and 112,000 short tons of particulate matter (PM).

Since 2015, Lineage has implemented ambitious initiatives to reduce the Company’s energy consumption with quantifiable and impactful targets that align with its purpose to transform the food supply chain to eliminate waste and help feed the world. This partnership will help the Company achieve its goal of reaching net-zero carbon emissions by 2040 – ten years ahead of the Paris Agreement.
